Yeah, I kind of guess that is what they are trying to achieve, plenty of buyers that want a better than pressed boat, but are not willing to trust a builder with a wad of cash to even start building your boat, as I said, I dont know the ins and outs as far as money is concerned, I am just a long time customer that happened to have a chat to the owners of the yard, and from what I can gather, the boats will be the property of the dealer, paid for and resold to a customer that walks in, no different to buying a tinny, you select your motor and so on and they fit it up and away you go, in a "custom" made plate boat of high quality, with no months and months wait, no loot outlayed for something that is just a drawing or a set of plans. I can see the benefit in the idea, I am sure it is not a mass market thing, but more just another way to attract another type of customer, who may buy a sounder and all sorts of stuff for years to come, repeat loyal customers is the best way to survive long term, a happy customer brings in another customer and so it goes.
