casting practice
Did a bit of casting practice this morning at Kawana lake.
Almost forgot everything I knew, that's easy when you start a new fishing style.
After a couple of hours my casting improved with a bit of coaching from a mate, can look at paying $50 per hour for fishing tuition..............
At the end it was all coming together......................

Re: casting practice
It doesn't take long to come back to you Randle. The best casting position I find is casting from the seat of my Tinny, line off the floor.
I was on a quiet backwater of a dam yesterday, half an hour, all quiet then I was woken up by a massive boil beside my Fly. Never did find out what it was.
Thats what keeps us going back hey.

Re: casting practice
line off the floor, a good idea...............
I have a canoe, haven't yet fly fished from it..........
That makes me feel comfortable about it.
gotta juggle wind, fly or spin gear.... carry both.
We have had rain, so the rivers are dirty....................................
I hate that..........................
But they say fish are still hungry
where are you gordie?
