Structure Scan tranducer location?

Seeking advice!!, i want to mount the new structure scan transducer on my existing transom bracket right beside the broadband transducer,Q the outboard leg will be within a 45 degree angle, will this interfear with the unit field?

I dont know why manufacturers persist in putting the transducer mounting plates up so high. They should be nearly flush with the bottom of the boat so as the transducer can be installed low enough...
