jig assist rigs
Gday all,
Have a new stash of jigs ranging from 20gr up to 60gr which I plan on using for blue / king salmon, trevs, jewies, reefies etc. My question is do you think its worth making up your own jig assist rigs or go with the ready made jobs from good tackle stores also does any one know how these ready made jobs go with toothy critters like Mackeral etc, is it worth making them up with wire ?

I would agree that making your own is better then buying. Type in GT Popping into Google and check out the guys on this forum who make their own. I am getting into making my own as well. Much cheaper and better quality

There's lots of good stuff on Youtube showing "how to". I reckon you can save a bit of money, but there is also more pleasure in catching fish on gear that you put your own time into.
