Double Island Lagoon - Outlet ?

Anybody been up to DI in last few weeks, ????
Haven't been up to DI last 6 weeks, and then the outlet from the Lagoon was tricky, had to motor out parallel with the swell although small, was dodgy at low tide, very shallow. This was different from three weeks before, and is moving all the time. Just wondering latest conditions. Please report if you know the channel condition.

madai was up there 8 days ago at low tide and the main channel is about 20 meters out off the beach it is shallow and runs parrallel with the beach. id launch my boat further up into the lagoon towards to headland or if the weather is permitting just straight off the beach out of the lagoon. should be no worries for a 6 meter boat at this stage. just keep track of when you depart and arrive as to what the tide is going to be doing and drop a few marks in ya gps during the daytime for if you come back in of a night time. as soon as the weather comes good near the weekend ill be up there launching my boat! JUST NEED THE WEATHER!!!!

Sounds similar - hasn't moved much.
Last time in Feb, we came up the Lagoon so the Toilet hut was just behind us, then straight out for about 60 meters, then 90degree left, paralleling the surf.
That's where the narrowest channel was, and at low -ish tide was shallow, we drove out slowly rising and dipping on the gentle swell, motor up a little.
then after about 100 Meters we could swing right and head out towards wolf rock.
We will be there on 15th - weather all being calm.
