catching prawns when its raining?

Hey all,
Just wondering if you can still catch prawns when its raining?
I'm thinking about going down to the coast tonight and throwing my cast net for a few hours and was wondering if the prawns, usually in the shallow areas, will skip off to avoid the fresh water.
Anyone had anyluck prawning in the rain?

Without going into detail, Prawning in the rain was sensational today.

Had a similar day last year.- I had no sounder input. It was on the blink. And got a bucket in just over an hour by keeping just 20 metres away from Baygod ( he calls himself "Baydog" I call him Baygod.) He got a throw in that must've nearly been a bucket.
Today- I had a 5 kilo throw myself today. They were in at least 6 spots that I tried this morning.

where abouts did you get em today pero, saltworks fired sat arvo, was going to go today but the rain has turned me off

I'm not suprised. We got hammered by rain and saturated.
Not much in the channel. They were further out. I think you were out that way yesterday.
