one thing to remember, Jervis Bay is almost all sand, look for the marks/co-ordinates for the "middle ground" there is some good fish taken there quite often, also along the northern entrance can be good, it is also quite deep around the northern headland (Beecroft) and drifting around outside the bay itself can yield some good fish, almost all the beaches have some ribbon weed just off the shore, there is heaps of squid to be caught around those areas, good for a meal, or fresh bait. There may also be quite a few land based gamefishermen along the northern side, so if you see some balloons, do NOT go too close, especially do not venture in closer than a decent sinker can be tossed! Land based guys tend to get a bit emotional when a boatie cuts off their only live bait that they have carried for miles in a bucket!
