Well wasnt that what the closure was aimed at? Increase snapper numbers exponentially, so we could all catch $hitloads of em when the closure opened back up????????????????

Official line was :-

" To reduce fishing effort "...... by.... 14% apparently.

Wonder how much the effort was reduced over the last couple of months due to cyclones, floods, wind etc...................... ???????
