    Remote Charging, for Phones

    G'day

When I go camping in the boat, there's no vehicle or battery and for a few days at a time, the iphone battery will not last.

I've had a look around and came across these, the internal battery is initially charged via usb, giving one cycle of power and thereafter via solar, has anyone had experiance with these?

No experience with those shown, but why not use a 12v socket on the boat? You can get an adapter that has 5v output via USB.

In that case, give one a go. They are certainly cheap enough!
If the charging current lives up to the specs given, then it should be fine.
I'd be interested to see how they go!

Dave, ALDI has those wind up LED torches for about $4 but they come with connections to recharge phones & cameras. I cannot say how long it will take to recharge your phone...................................
    ROLL TIDE, ROLL.................

what about a small gel cel, say 7AH battery (they are quite sml) and connections to run a car charger...i'd think it'd be under $50 to buy everything and should charge a phone battery over and over

Maybe try one of these for about $4...whack a cpl of AA's in before u head off.

May not work on all IphonesIpods but for $4 i'm guessing its worth a shot.
