    electric motors

    hi people,im new at boating and want advice,im considering a 3metre inflatable...will a 40lb electric run it ok.i just want to run around the bay or river with me and my other half?

    A 40 would be the right size for that craft and the amount of fuel (so to speak) depends on the size of the battery you buy, but I wouldn't stray too far from land in anything 3mts long. Also if the river you refer to is the Brizzy River, beware of the run out tide as it's sometimes too much for any electric motor.

    thanks 4 the tip,i may end up going for something like a 4-5hp 2stroke,depends on the cash.
