Cairns reports from Saturday

Went out for a fish on saturday night with the forecast not looking perfect, but all the wind reports were good.

Nice trip out, but the fishing seemed very slow, or maybe just us? We only managed a couple of big mouth and a few big long nose emperor. Long night for not much around.

Also had a low life scum piece of sh*t come right up to us during the night with no lights on and do a loop around and mark our spot before pissing off - refer to my other thread of me having a whinge.

But yeah, very slow, anyone else catch any?

Trip out on Sunday morning, trolled for only one mackeral and another hit without a hookup, had a quick bottom fish, was really slow too.

A mate went out today and only got one trout. Reckons it was dead.

Was slow but not catastrophic.Had to work for fish on Sunday for a solo effort, got 4 trout, 2 Jacks, a nanni, big bluddy cod and lost two maks. The water was green the whole way out. Left the Jacks biting cos I had to leg it. A mate got a nice catch of trout on Saturday morning, with 3 of them 4kgs and lost a heap.
