Hello Fellas,
This will be a short and sweet as I am ready for bed, but if your heading out tomorrow may be a bit of insight....
Had Wardy, Timiboy, Tropicrows on board as we left Manly at 5am this morning. The run accross the bay was fantastic to say the least with us cruising accross at 30+knots. Lots of livies at the beacons and we soon had our share. We trolled off Cape Moreton with a beatiful day but not much action before Bruce christened my new rod on a decent Mac Tuna. We headed to Tempest area and Bruce landed a horse Amberjack his PB he says. I have attached a clip of it below. Fishing was fairly quiet and limited due to the current closures so trolling and live baiting was our plan.
We decided to head to the wave rider (pt Lookout)for a bit of a look and Wardy picked a nice Dorado off the FAD with a livie, I will also attach a small vid for that too.
Called it a day around 3pm 220km later and 200 litres lighter and headed home through the sth passage bar, swell was small and no wind so the call was made to head through the Amity Channel, still shallow but passable in todays conditions.
All in all Aberjack, Dolphinfish and mac Tuna to add to todays catch, as per usual a few fish lost but thats catching....err fishing.
I would have liked to put a bit of humour into this report but I am falling asleep as I type.
I am mucking around with my GoPro video camera so the raw footage has no music and very low sound as its in a waterproof case.
Tight Lines
Marty
