hi im nuggs and i have an addiction to bass fishing.
all day and night i cant stop thinking about catching these mongrel little fish.
i commonly get mental images im my head of me rolling a crank bait over a weed bed or burning a spinnerbait past a big dirty tree, or casting a top water and beside some evil looking cover hard up against the bank.
is there a cure for this affliction, is there a way to stop the pain.
please help im going out of my brain, how do ya stop the dreaded bass fever.

You've got to discover women mate ... many of them are excellent value, particularly the ones who fish.
Now let's not be silly here.
The reality is; That interest is a far more expensive and leads to a lot more trouble
However if you chooose to take that interest, then like bass fishing,
catch and release may be the best policy.
Fresh is best, keep them too long and they will go off!

I suffer from cod fever, the only known cure is to get out there and catch the buggers !!!!....But when you get home the pain starts all over again...It's a very vicious circle...Hope you can get through this very difficult part of life...I'm struggling..

Try putting some salt on your potato chips next meal, you will enjoy the taste and it will trigger a fascination with red devils found in salt water, more than likely it will replace the bass with some real venom and addiction.

I looked at the thread title and thought not another Etec owner.

The symptoms you mention are commonly found in all Australian Bass anglers. If pain persists, be sure to visit your local creek or lake as soon as possible.

The underlying spirit of angling,Is that the skill of the angler,Is pitted against the instinct and strength of the fish,And that the latter is entitled to an even chance for his life. Regards, Hardb8.Kickin tails and razin scales since 1979.
il tell you a good way to help get over it. well 1 step buy a canoe, 2step you hit the water with no water to drink on a hot or cold day doesnt matter, then you fish for the little bugger's until your 10k down stream busting for a feed and a drink, then try to paddle back. it feels like 20k and then you cant get back fast enough, then you have to pack the canoe back on the rack wilst your busting for a drink. then your got no energy because your so hungrey. trust me this happens to me all the time. i feel your pain brother
