Thread: Quietest 150 outboard

    Re: Quietest 150 outboard

Jump ahead to cruising speed, and the order changes again. This time we are going to look at boat speed, not engine speed. This helps the two-strokes because they won't be running the engine quite as fast. Now the results are:
what a joke !! may as well say what's the lightest outboard a 4hp or 350hp but we'll weight the 350 on the moon wow the 350hp is the lightest go figure

PS ..... yes at WOT there would be little difference ( we hear the big donks on the dams) & we can pick if it is one guide or another - ETEC Vs Yammi

Yeah you are right. Get to a spot faster and then switch off.
Jeez we even get to the ramp faster as we aren't on the side of the road fixing our landrovers

Honestly I'd go back to having more noise if it meant more power out of the same weight at midrange. They all sound a bit restricted and don't breathe that well. It has always been a 2 stroke problem before injection as there was no way to fit a fully tuned power pipe in the leg. They got a lot more power out of the racing motors running external pipes in smaller class of motor.

When they're running & able to leave the ramp & really quiet on the way back ......under tow - really helps with their fuel consumption too

    sorry - cant help myself

just goes to show that skusto has been searching his little heart away to post that crap, that thread is what....6years old

I thought that was part of the fun of the journey - making the (otherwise mundane) trip to the ramp an adventure...will I get there...will she keep going!
