The boatbuilder is also building an aluminum trailer so that the beast can be towed up to Tin Can Bay where it will be securely housed in a purpose build shed and it will be towed down to the ramp on each occasion we go fishing.

The tow vechicle just arrived yesterday from the USA its a Dodge Ram turbo deisel ute (truck) which will be converted to right hand drive and fitted with a fifth wheel on the tray to take the weight estimated at around 6 tonnes.

I will post a pic of the tow vehicle in a few weeks.

A friend of mine had a couple of Rams converted about 2 years ago. He go them done in Melbourne. Was pretty expensive as there had not been many done. Great tow vehicle.

Not a bad idea building a boat that can travel to Lord Howe to chase Kingys. At least you can duck out off the Tweed if you want to target some snapper off NSW...........Dont forget the been bags on that trip Barry...

1300 litres...Down here we would call that a poachers special.

The cavity that houses the fuel tank is capable of holding 1300 litres but the only time the skipper will fill er up is when we do an extended trip from Tin Can Bay up past Sandy Cape a bloody long way up and back .
