I think all that is spot on ...I was able to and went the extra fitment time but not really necessary these days I reckon.

Hi Bill, thanks for the pic. Is there a strake inline with your tranny, even if it's the one that finishes short of the transom? Your tranny is closer to the centre than mine do you think it would have any effect going in closer?

Also my tranny is a 525-5PWD.

It looks different to the P66.

Hey Timbo, no mate, no strakes arond there anywhere on the hull. That's about as close to the prop I would place it as well.

by rights they recommend tranducer placement on the starbord side, but, I've never had a problem.

Is anyone running their transducer cable away from other wiring, as has been suggested elsewhere?

Hi there all. Problem has been sorted.

Reading tops at 35knts.

Put a p66 in closer to the prop in cleaner water.

Wow can't believe it only took me 2 years to bother to fix it.
