Hey
got problems geting biten off on 80 pound leader live baiting up at noosa. I have used coated wire but get no bites is there a finer wire to use. I have got 79 cm tailor, treve, jacks up to 50 cm here, there are jew in this spot only 2ft deep sand flat and good fun.
I all so get smoked by somthing every time like a train but not a stingeray run have no idear on what it is
Any help would be good

2 foot of water hey. I would call it for a charter shark cat! . If you move away from the mouth of the bar it wont happen at all.

Are you using flurocarbon? if not, it's the best stuff and to me its twice as good at knott holding and gradding of teeth. Hey mate do you think you could share your little spot at noosa PM if so, i sware ill not tell a soul not even my parents.

Are you using flroucarbon? If not, deffinetly give it a go. To me it is twice as strong to gradding of teeth and has very minimal stretch. using about 80lb should do the trick. If you are still getting break offs use 6'' of 40lb silver coloured trace and if your having trouble with the bite rate sock it in tuna oil or s factor. The monster fish that always gets away could be jew/trev 100cm plus dont really know. Also mate is there any chance of sharing your secret spot with me, i sware i wont tell a soul PM if so

It really sounds like you want my spot, Its the same as maroochydore hop in a boat find fast water on a bend there should be a bank right beside only fish in
2-3 ft of water. got a flathead up your way last time i was there
(83cm) . fish at night the shallows are alive with bait Get good mulet bidies and herring for bait live prawns as well. sit back cast lures untill your live bait gets nailed

big sharks cruise those channels up that way, been some big ones up noosa river, as in all rivers in qld. but yeah, that was my first guess. we all know they got teeth and have a decent run!
but sounds like a ripper spot to fish if your getting decent fish like trevs tailor and jack!
