    27-28 would have pulled the little gtunter. Still i was pleased as it was the first for me on a HB, Only caught them on baits and SP. Great bunch of locals and old blokes who fish up there during the week. It was a great day

    Chief I usually catch a few bream in the bend in the river just outside Petrie creek.There is a bit of a deeper section there where it drops off. I keep pulling up these big funny shells that look like scallops off the bottom with my anchor I think the bream like the area and thats where Ive got a few grunter too.
    I met a couple of nice old locals one week day that troll the maroochy early mornings 2 or 3 times a week told me they come up with tailor,jew,trevs and even mackeral at times lucky them the joys of being retired!

    Mex... I usually pull a few bream off the motorway pylons and gee they go hard but they just weren't around ?? I was just surprised at the water quality being so dirty

    Gee you done welle up there as i always land based when i go up there and miss most of that fun. Well done Chief good fun there and on the light gear to.

    Last month when i was there the water was real dirty water but with the incoming tide the water was cleaner all the way up to the bridge.It was a real visible line where the water changed colour at the top of the tide.

    thanks for the report chief. i am taking the fam to maroochy in a week or so.looking to do some fishing amongst relaxing.staying at cotton tree .any tips for the area.? i dont wanna have to drive anywhere .i love placcys and livies.cheers.
