Well, I have just bought a new CTEK 7000 battery charger - now a couple of questions on how I can hook it up. I don't intend on having it in the boat permanantly, just when I need it:
1. I have a dual battery set up in the boat. I got one of those comfort leads with the charger, and bought a second one for the other battery.
2. I guess I put one of these on each battery and plug the charger into each of these and charge the batteries one at a time a night or two before planned fishing trips.
3. The final question is with the isolator switch. Can I set it so that it is OFF for BOTH batteries and just charge away, or do I need to disconnect something to prevent damage from charge current?
Need to make sure my batteries are charged for the stereo to work. Just put in one of those Fusion AM/FM/USB receivers and a set of box speakers. Looks and sounds the goods.
