I remember a local forked out big bucks when I was in Japan for me to try their 'Delicacy" puffer fish. Tasted like rubber and left me with a numb face... Horriable stuff!

Yeh mate stopped there for a few quick drifts on my way up the bay, saw those guys you were talking about anchored west s/w of the beacon and nothing was getting thrown back in, looked pretty small to me.I was there about lunch time and there were 3 boats anchored up, soon after we got there a tinny up anchored and took off towards the west, after reading your post I was thinking it might have been you. (tinny with yam 4stroke) myself and my boy were in the v-sea.

    Re: bay saturday

Fished the bay saturday too. Started on the Eastern side of mud, lots of undersized squire, whiting, cod and grinner. Got one legal cod and about 3 legal whiting.

The weather was good so pissed off to Moreton for a swim. Came across plenty of Tuna with plenty of boats running them down. Ended up catch and releasing 3 but they were very very finicky. One foul hooked on 4kg line went extremely well. Got a few more whiting mixed among 1000 grinner on the sand and came home.

Was nice to be out on the water after a little break. I was pretty pissed off with both the amount of pots in the channels, and how poorly marked some of the pots are. There would be at least 15 pots between the river and mud that have clearly been there for months and months and have so much growth over them you cannot see them until you're right on top of them.

With Regard To The Pots, I Just Wish They Didnt Put In Main Channels.

If they are painted with dark green floats, they would have been pro pots, I think he does it for some cammo ?

Nah, the ones i'm talking about looked like they were covered in barnicles and growth. Although, somehow I think painting pots cammo, or sawing the circular floats in half (so they barely sit above the water is just as stupid.

And yes, I know people do it so they are less likely to get swiped by someone else, but it's risking other people at the cost of catching the dipsh1ts who are swiping pots. And there ends my soapbox

    Re: bay saturday

surely the persons whose pots are all 'barnacled' up must have lost them or couldn't find them again?

Perhaps GPS marking them and referring them to the authorities as a navigational / safety hazard would have them sorted out?
