Trout Lake 2 Nd Attempt

Hope this works. Just to give you a little story on this spot.

I dropped in to a cousin east of Armidale, had the canoe with me and we put a trip together. I had all the good gear of course, he had rods that I would have thrown out by now.

The bugger caught 10 or 11 trout on worms and actually caught one with the landing net as it was poking along around the tussocks.

I was intending to get a Trout on the fly rod. All I had to talk about were a couple of side swipes.

Left him with another story to tell about his Queensland cousin, he has a few of those.

What's the name of the lake and does it have camping available?

Its several K out of Walcha. The sort of place we dream about in SEQ.

I would have had 300 casts with the fly rod and that just made it a great day, a fish would have been a bonus.
