Yet another Snapper Question

on another angle , I went to the seafood joint @ lawnton today and the snapper on display were from NZ apparently!!

Ok Ian, got that for the undersized ones caught in other states and sold in QLD...

But, what if you have a purchased red emporer in your freezer (with a receipt of course) and then good mate says come out and catch reddies - and you go out and catch your own bag limit of red emporers?

Is the purchased one part of your 'in possession' lot, or is it considered separate to your bag limit in possession?

It would be interesting to know how the law actually reads, as opposed to guessing at the interpretation of laws / regulations that we are not really aware of...........

I know that we have deliberated with counsel for a couple of weeks on some occasions to determine if certain laws / regulations even applied to us, before even getting to the juicy bit of the full impact / meaning in our context...............

the one and only rule with the law is that it says what it says in the courtroom, and it is interpreted by legal eagles, not lunchtime lawyers!
