    Question Prohibited area Bribie passage

Took the boat up to Bribie for a few hours fishing last Friday and did'nt catch a keeper.
Noticed that on the north side of the entrance to Pacific harbour a buoy marked "prohibited area". Anyone know what this is about, as I used to fish in this area in the past.

The son and myself were up there 2 friday nights back and noticed a new beacon flashing yellow. There used to be a red 1 there but its gone and the red beacon marking the passage was out also, but we didn't notice any restriction signs. Was fairly dark to.

I do believe there may be a sunken beacon just under the water hence the Yellow warning Cheers

I heard two weeks ago VMR Bribie warning that the red lead into Pacific Harbour had been damaged and was a broken off just below water level.
A yellow bouy was to be positioned at this point and to keep a wide berth was advised.

Thanks Scoota, That seems to be the logical answer. The red lead has been replaced and I guess then that this does not mean that you can't fish this area.
Was beginning to wonder with all the green zones etc,
