what river would you recomend for nights

hi guys im thinking of going out in to curumbin creek for a whirl in my new tinny tonight, do you think that it would be wise ? i have not been out to any rivers on the coast yet (only one) and tonights tides are looking wrong for the time i want to go fishing.

What river would you recomend for more user friendly at low tide and what ramp should i use for accsess to that river at night?

    Not wise.

You should be scoping out any new river in the daytime at low tide, and do several day runs before going at night. A new tinny only adds to the risk.

Currumbin is safe enough if you stick within 1 km of the ramp, and Id prefer Tallebudgera for a first time night run. Tweed will hold better fish.

Take plenty of safety gear........a mate, charged phone, spotlight, flares, etc etc. I carry an epirb at night, even up the creeks.

Use Tallebudgera creek for sure .
Use the Palm beach side boat ramp near the caravan park.

Explore it in the daytime, so you know the good spots and the shallows.
I used to do a few all nighters up Currumbin Ck.........
take some repellant, but don't get on on your hands or bait or lures.....................

There are huge distanced and big differences between the waters mentioned.

It's a long drag into jacobs well, if you are closer to any of the others.

Pick one close by and learn it.......you'll do better that way.

    cheers
Its the details, those little details, that make the difference.
