    DIY kayak trolley

    Just looking around on ideas on a canoe trolley for myself DIY......
    Found this one for a kayak, looks good , simple, easy , cheap....

    Got a new 2nd hand canoe........ needs a bit of work. It will be Ok

    One I knocked up in less than an hour (first time using an angle grinder too)... I can drag it over grass, dirt, gravel, sand and mud no worries. I simply lock it to something whilst I'm out on the water. Total cost $35.

    May I ask what the black pvc pipe at the back is for?

    Yes those trolleys make a great job.
    I liked the use of the scupper holes on the one on the website...

    It's for the anchor... Allows one to drop it down and be facing the direction of the current, then retrieve it back into the pipe before moving on.

    Nice one mate!! I made one nearly the same a few years ago for my canoe. I used 2 pieces of 4x2 however as skids. I also removed much more of the old trolley flatbed which I don't think was a good idea as when the canoe was loaded up the trolley flexed quite a bit.. Was great being able to kit it out at the back of the car and then roll the whole lot down the ramp and into the drink
