Thanks for your enquiry, unfortunately as we are the distributors for ALPS Rod Components in Australia we are obliged to only provide their products direct to either Retail Tackle Shops or to Trade rod builders that are registered businesses only.

This is a bit of topic mate but it does stink how these business wont deal with you useless you either have a store front, CAN or ABN numbers. I had many fights with Fuji here in Australia over their policy of not dealing with “backyarder rod builders” even though I dropped 12 names that they dealt with on a regular that all where all based at home. Even after renting a factory they still made it hard so I simply told them if you don’t want my money I will import it from America, you can bang it up your Ass. The rod building suppliers in Australia are an absolute disgrace / joke. They seem to put all the emphasis on the retail store than those who actually purchase volume.

I remember many years ago when I was writing for Bush and Beach on rod building. I did an article on purchasing components over the internet and how the local suppliers would need to adapt or die. Well some have died and others have had to diversify with other products in order to keep the doors open. I even had the ordasity to ring me wanting me to deal with them, I quickly said you have to be joking right, and it felt great to again tell them off in no uncertain terms. I also told them how much money per month I was spending in America because of there foul attitude against the small rod builder here. The stupid thing is the Fuji wholesale price here is in fact dearer than the retail price in America. Some shops in the States also have a wholesale side to there business so the prices are even cheaper again. Sorry for the rant guys.
