    The vessel IGOTCRABS

For me Saturday couldnt come quick enuf, waiting for a week for a new boat was like waiting for the bottle shop to open the day i turned 18. I have no idea how some of you guys wait months, it would kill me.

SO 8 am and here i am with my brother at the front of the boat yard ready to go, Backed the empty trailer in and proceeded to put the new girl onto it, After a bit of adjusting she is sitting on the trailer, Not well but good enuf to get home. A quick check over and chat with the sales guys and we are heading home for the Wire up.

Got home and proceeded to lay out all the goodies that would be fitted up, these are
    Lowrance mark 5X-pro
Led nav lights and anchor light
    5 gang switch panel
    Bilge pump
    Led Strip lighting
    100ah deep cycle battery
    charging Rectifier for motor

Well the fun began and after quite a few hours she was partially completed as we wanted to get out for a run. Well the boat lived up to its name and produced 4 muddies from 8 pots so we were happy considering the amount of fresh still about.

Sunday rocked around and we decided to get back into it and get it done, Led strip lights and bilge pump all wired in. Took the Brother out for his first spin and all was good.

Overall am very happy with the Package of the Horizon 425 allrounder and 30Hp Yamaha (cant wait till its run in)

A big thanks to the guys at Brisbane Yamaha, What a great experience it was to buy from these guys, Nice and easy.

Some photos below, not great photos as taken with phone Camera.

Oh and thanks to everyone for the boat name ideas.

    Cheers Lee

    Hi mate,

Congratulations on your new rig, it will serve you well for many years. I have the 425 "Reelmate" from Allycraft with a 30 4 stroke Yam, and I am very happy with it, having just clocked up 40 hours.

Good work on the feed of crabs too.

    Cheers

Be careful with those red lights Lee, you might give some of the more unscrupulous characters out there the wrong idea,..... Might end up with something on your deck that is not all that desirable

    Steeler,

to buy legally yes, there were other ways but knowing you can walk in and show your id, its a good feeling.

Josh, yeah mate will keep the baseball bat handy for those times.

The red lights light the boat up really well so no need for any other lights onboard. Even better when they were free!!

Why red? Is it easy to tie knots in the dark with red lights? And where can I get some free ones? Hehe

    Re: The vessel IGOTCRABS

Red is better for use at night as it will not affect your night vision, Whereas a Spot light/white light will wreck you vision.

Its easy to do your normal things under the red lights then look up into the darkness and still be able to focus.

Well i have to thank my brother for the Freebies, He works at a lighting shop and his boss gave them to him to try.

Great practical sized boat for bay and creeks. Your gonna have a great time with her. I have got a 4.1 Brooker and use it for anything from prawns/crabs to outer bay, even offshore in the right conditions.
    Mine is'nt pimped up though
