Is it legal to tie off on the wrecks at Tangalooma? Was over there on Australia Day and saw several boats tied off on the wrecks. Always thought this was a no no.

I'm in the same boat as you. I thought it was not legal but have seen plenty do it. My anchor serves me quite well there. It is the turning tide that see's some fun.

I have never heard of any law stopping you and vessels have been doing it for a long time. As far as I know no one has ever been pinged for it even though the water police often patrol through there. Its only the beacons that have laws against tying up to.

Isn't there a sign up saying you can't walk on the wrecks? No one takes notice of that - geez I wouldn't let kids near it with a barge pole, a fall would make a mess - but there's nothing up about tying off that I've seen.
Cheers,
Tim
