ok iv got 10 days off over easter and looking at taking my 4.5 sea jay to stanage bay. Iv done a search on here and found some info, however also found that there may be a fishing comp on at the same time? will this affect the avaliability of camping spots at plum tree.? i don't want to drive all that way and find there is no spots left. if there is a comp i'll plan to enter (bonus),and also iv heard its free camping is there any limit of nights you can stay?
and any other info you would like to share would be much appretiated
there is a fishing comp on over easter and yes the camp ground is normaly packed but if you get there a day or 2 b4 you wont have any dramas. in saying that you will always be able to camp somehwere. there is also a camp area down at alligator bay aswell as portors creek (mossie heaven) all free. there is no limit on how many nights you can stay but you have to bring all your own water. i would defenetly advise going up over that weekend but as it is an awsome weekend and there is some great prizes to be won.
thanks mate no problems with the camping with mozzies done plenty of that haha. by all the posts iv read on here sounds like it will be good at easter, been there once as a young fella but had to leave early because my brother cut himself on the oysters and got 30 or so stiches on the boat ramp so keen to check it out this time. defently a bonus with the comp there as well at the same time. cant wait
cheers breno
