    Cool Samurai Premium SN 402-2C

I just finished the bind on this one this morning. Came out really nice. No, I haven't jumped the fence - it's for the wife of a work mate (anniversary present). The colours are pretty out there and I'm looking forward to seeing it with epoxy on it. Here is the preview. The sunglasses are for the brightness!

I'm also really impressed with the blank.

    Regards

    Hi

I am absolutely astounded at the level of skill you guys continually come up with. I saw that Che Guavara the other day, and knew instantly who it was. I only hope that when I get into my own house and move away from this rental that I can set up my own rod building work shop and catch up with you guys in SE QLD.

    Nice work

    Cheers

    Ryan

Just needs some vaseline on the lens to give it a soft focus
Really nice work Mark. How long did that take you to wrap?

    Thanks for the comments everyone.

Owen I only cleaned up the workbench for the photos. Really!
Dave I would only be guessing with this wrap. I did it over a coulple of days. The wrapping I would guess at about 5-6 hours. The packing was at least another 2-3. The wrap is based around 38mm centers with no taper offset. The blank is very uniform in diameter in the wrapping area. This one really is tighter than a bankers wallet and closed spot on. After the photos I CP'd it and then used the roll method to close it up even more. I'll post some photos when I get the epoxy on.

    Thanks again

Thanks Ian for your comments. I really do appreciate them. Your welcome to visit anytime. Just don't forget the beer.

The Samurai Premiums are excellent blanks - they are very straight and well finished. The actiosn are very fast and tippy. Perfect for soft plastic fishing. They are also a very light but powerful blank.

Pickers, thanks for your comments. Mate you can get the Samurai Premiums from Ross at the Rodworks and also from Mo Tackle at Coffs. Not cheap blanks at all but very good quality.
