Tailor season on the Gold Coast

I'm a newbie on this forum, moving to the Gold Coast in the near future, and would be grateful for advice as to when the tailor season starts on the Gold Coast......and where the best spots are,(not asking for secret personal localities, because if you told me, you'd have to kill me, I know!!!) just some general advice.
    Cheers and thanks in Advance,
    BobA

Another New South Welshman doing the border run hey?

In order for us to let you in, you must sign a declaration that you will not, under any circumstances, run around annoying us with your Blues jersey on at State of Origin time chanting "we are the champions!" ........ hang on, I haven't seen that happen for quite a while now.

Anyway, back to the fishing ...No real secrets Bob but to save you some time...

By boat - Seaway, Arti reef off Narrowneck.

Beach - The spit & Narrowneck aren't hard to find in Winter - it looks like
Fraser with shoulder to shoulder fishos. Any decent gutter anywhere
along the coast will hold them.

Rocks - Where do I start? Seaway walls, Burleigh point (spinning), Currumbin Rock (both of them), Kirra Big groyne, Tweed wall, Fingal (watch the swell), etc, etc.

Best time is Winter off the beaches but there's a run of big fish in the Seaway in Summer as well.

    Cheers,
    Mick.

P.S - As an honorary Queenslander, you must learn to use an Alvey reel when beach fishing instead of an eggbeater or get used to stripping down your reel very regularly.
