Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a good place in mackay to buy bait.
Whole mullet/fillets, big boxes of pillies etc

gudday beard, I went chasing some mullet fillets up that way not long ago and couldn't get any as i think they are out of season at the moment. As for pillies etc.....no idea.

if you're ever coming up this way the milk depot near centro in cannonvale sells bait in bulk, not sure about mullet though

The very upper reaches of the creeks are holding all sized mullet if you can get into them with a cast net.

Tackleworld had whole Mullet in a while ago and what seemed like a good selection of other stuff.

Thanks fish hunter I might go check out tackle world b4 my next outing. Or get the cast nets out and do it the hard way, at least it will be fresh. Just like the real big ones.
