Thread: feathers

    Re: feathers

Ian that EVA looks to be great. A photo of that wouldn't be too bad either. I haven't had the chance to play with mine yet but still have a few ideas. Don't worry about the budgies bum. The feathers will grow back unless you steal some more! A good trick with the feathers is to wet the area you intend to lay them with CP, then gently lay the feather on top. The feather will soak up the CP and you don't have to move the individual feather barbs around too much.

    Re: feathers

mark, so thats how its done . i had laid them them out to see what looked best, which was good , then i put some cp over them to hold in place, but things moved and what you see is the result

thanks for all the comments and guidance from everyone

    Re: feathers

Ian the feathers are easy once you master getting them in place. Make sure the area is good and wet. Lay the feather in place and gently adjust the feather barbs. Don't put more than a couple on at a time or you'll just get a mess. Give it an hour or so and come back and put on a couple more. Easy!

Feathers don't fade unless you leave them out for a long time. The CP helps reduce it but the feather fade is no worse than thread fade. Always apply a good coat of car polish or Armoural after a couple of outings.
