Nice work Ian as usual BTW you have the same fridge as me.
Hi all,

Nice work Ian as usual BTW you have the same fridge as me.
Nice! Looks like you got some good sized fish there.
Nice work!! Top shot holding the catch I'd be grinning too.
"If I am going too burn time let it be holding my rod. For when it is time to lay me at rest let it be a Viking burial at it's best. Give back for what I have Taken."
Good stuff boet!!
You have that spot waxed .... I have more donuts there than at any other spot on the coast

Good fish, nice to know there is some tailor.
What part of the Tweed River rocks where you on at the time? NSW side or Qld side?
I'm itching to get down there as there is nothing caught on the sand pumping jetty and its been close to a year since I got a tailor last.
Can you tell me what is a "big slickrigs"? I've never heard of that one before.
I have halco twisters and slider lures.
Cheers, Peter
Thanks all,
as I only 5mins away I can pop down there quite often, so after a while you get to suss out the spot and know when it might (I repeat... MIGHT) fire.
Having said that there are days when all the stars line up just right, the barometer's your friend, the tide's right and I've still come away with a donut.
Now make no mistake, I don't profess to be a local expert- I'm still, and I guess will continue to be, on a learning curve.
As for where the best spots are, to be honest it's all about what's hapening on the day. Sometimes the south wall looks and works better, other days the north wall really fires. It's a call I make on the day...
Went and had a look this morning and the river is coffee coloured, as is the mouth and the wind was ridiculous! Still, persisted in the adverse conditions for a donut ha ha ha
Interestingly though, there was a flock of about 20-30 birds working the suds on the D'bar side but for love nor money could I raise a bite. Did n't see any bust ups or boils so maybe the birds were just feeding off scraps washed off the rocks... who knows.
I saw massive bust ups under the Boyds Bay Bridge on theTerranora arm of the Tweed yesterday. For while it looked like a giant spa, the fisho's there could n't get a strike- did n't see anyone land anything for 5mins, then had to get back to work. D'oh!!
Oh well, till next time,
tight lines!
Jimbo
