    murphys going off

Took swano1 and damo [1 of Jarvis Walkers reps] for a fish on wednesday . Was lucky enough to fish the previous three days which was some of the best in close fishing have had. Lots good AJs and Kingys aswell as plenty of bust offs including broken 20kg jig stick and snapped handle on new real. So when the call was made to the guys told them to brng the big gear.
Left the ramp at 4.30am for good to run to bait grounds. Got thirty or so livies followed by quick run to mark. Swano1 decided to drop down light gear but first bait got smoked; so out came the big gear. Damo - The Codfather- was quick of the mark with 10kg Goldspot Cod; first of four or five.
We all caught good fish for next four or so hours including AJs up to 12kg, 2 Kingys to 8kg, 6 cod , a nice Red Bass caught by swano1- first we've seen around here. 2 nice Cobia . We ran out of livies and thgings got a bit quiet; so moved 50m and reanchored. Swano1 started floating down baits on jigheads which got smashed about 20m off bottom; thought might be Snapper but was Sprangled Emperor. Ended up landing 3 nice Spranglys and a 4kg Snapper. Had about 8 or 10 good bustoffs for day and most fish were released to swim another day.
Also Gav from Northshore BaitnTackle[Pacific Paradise] was also out that day in another boat and landed 4 AJs the biggest being 20.8kg.
Had great day can't wait to do it all again soon
LUKE. WILL TRY AND PUT PHOTOS UP SOON

    G,day Luke
Was one of the better sessions i have been lucky enough to be a part of and once again thanks for the invite and great half day on the water(back at the ramp midday). i think hallcomp nailed it saying the amount of break the fish have had due to the shite weather of late.
i have put up a few youtube clips of the action including the 68cm foulmouth bass

    Re: murphys going off

    Congratulations and well done.

Blasted charter operator I was on seems to steer away from the good spots and go onto fringe areas.

Murphies should be a good productive area given the right conditions.
