No, not really worth it.. You could try out at the mouth near the high tide I guess.
hi all, just wandering if anyone can give me an idea on the fishing conditions in the maroochydore river with all the rain. Is it worth having a fish also Im land based.
thanks FishinW

I just spent two weeks at cotton tree. The river fishing was pretty slow, a couple of mates got three flatties at the mouth and another guy I know dropped a big lizard and managed to land a couple of trevs around the rock wall at the boat shed. Live herring or white bait are best and fish the slack water in that area. other than that a lot of cat fish were caught around the cod hole.
Just talking to my brother 5 mins ago, he just returned from two days fishing between Chambers Island and the mouth in his yak. Scored 1 decent flathead and a few dozen bream for the two days.
Jack.
saw a little flattie caught at cotton tree yesterday ...
windy... rainy ..... muddy......
Thanks heaps all, i think ill have to try to get a fish in sometime through the rest of the school holidays. the weather dose not seem to be getting any better. So Much Rain and lightning. i might just have to man and up, throw on a rain jacket and stand in the miserble weather and fish. also i have found the weather so terrible that i have not been able to have a single fishing session through the holidays. when its not raining the waters are unfishable as they are a dirty dark chocalate colour.
Thanks FishingW
