An early start saw us on the water at 0400. It was well worth it as the overcast conditions provided an extended surface bite with about 10 in the net between 3 rods. A river sea bubble pop doing most of the damage, assisted by a Megabass dog X jnr.
The rain didn't seem to put them off and it wasn't until the sun was barely able to poke through momentarily that they went quiet.
So onto step 2 which considered of picking up a school on the sounder and persisting with Gulp lobby's which saw about another 10 boated.
A troll home with one hit and back on the trailer at noon.
A great way to finish the holidays!!
