Heading to the Limmen (Gulf river) again in Oct this year (always do ok) but we are debating on best time. To fish the build up to the full moon on twelth with low's in the afternoon, or fish no moon with low's in the morning? Love fishing the drains but an afternoon beer in the tropics is hard to beat. What's your take?
G'day Brad, ideally the build up to the full moon on the night tides would suit barra fishing.
I can't help you with your beer dilemma.., in fact I have never known anyone to have a fishing / beer dilemma? Beer goes in esky, and esky goes in boat. The rest will sort itself out.
Cheers Mick
I too like the build up to the full moon, but my preffered method of chasing barra is using poppers in the late arvo into the night, a bit more light from the waxing moon makes things a bit easier for the fish and turns more hits into hook ups.
