Beaches in front of Scarborough around to Woody Point (Whiting, flathead and the like) near the parks where facilities are located.

Eventide wall at high tide similar to above near the park.

Same around Gold Coast estuary regions (Paradise Point to Southport (search google map for directions and locations).

Also maybe a google of the different councils (Moreton Bay, Gold Cast etc) that control the regions you may be able to easier locate the local family friendly parks, adjacent to fishing bases etc.

    Good luck
    Cheers
    Pete

I find Budds Beach down the Gold Coast is always a goer. ( it's in the UBD )

If the fish aren't biting, at least you can have a swim away from the hordes and no big waves.

Colmslie boat ramp is pretty good now. Has toilets, park with swings and has a good jetty with plenty of room on it. Just check the tide to make sure its high. Good luck mate

Manly foreshore from the point (Darling Point) right down to the boat harbour. The tide has to be in when fishing of the esplanade but if you fish the boat harbour or out at the rock wall you'll be able to fish all day the toilets in the main park arent all that far to walk to and there are plenty off BBQ areas for shade.
