Advised not able to find member!

I have just answered an inquiry from a member Boatman2 and when i submitted, been advised Recipient could not be found. Have I sent incorrectly?

there is no member called Boatman2

there is a Boat Man

there is also a" member list " located at the top of the forum pages so you can check yourself.
