fishing in the rain its a tough job!

Started my day at the mouth of mooloolah river throwing around whatever i could to get some action,

Started off with a stiffy top dog over a nice rocky patch i normaly pick up a few pike for fun, couple of seagulls came over and bomb dived my lure LUCKILY the hooks did not stick otherwise that would of been adventure i did not want to go through again. Threw on a popper after i saw a few trevs grouped up and had a couple of hits but then toadfish swarmed the area there must of been a hundred of the buggers.

Decided to throw on a few small paddle tail minnows but the toadfish were way to painful, So i got fed up and went to the barra park. Never been there before and it was quite fun. Lots of dropped fish but landed a few jews and a barra on 65mm wrigglers. Next time im going there i will have to try pellets.

edit* oh and someone lost there G loomis baitcast combo today from leaving it in a holder..... he went straight in after but no avail

So they hit plastics in summer up in the barra farm eh. They told me they did but after the last day of plastics and hardbodies there in colder months i thought they were only saying it to get me back lol. Good hook us there for rainy days.
