Caught a couple of these Flathead at Tin can Bay recently,,The head had a lot of bump's on it & a lot more spike's than normal.

I'd say fringe eyed flattie as well. They're supposed to be pretty uncommon, nice catch.

Yes - definitely a fringe eyed flathead. Although not common I tend to catch a couple each year, most commonly in the Bribie passage. Here's a couple more pics of one, with the 'fringe' clearly visible in one of them.

caught a few up here in thew whitsundays definately fringe eyed flathead not bad chewing either!
