Hoo gone missing!!!

Went out yesterday to hutchies for a troll for Hoo , and troll was all we did not a fish in sight .Afetr trying all our lures from deep divers to Hex heads we decided to go and try a slow troll with dead bait, that too produced 0000 .The only interesting visitor we had was a big dolphin that would swim behind the boat until we hand fed it half a bag of pillies and then promptly disappeared.
Saw a few other boats out but did not see any one land a fish.

Hi,

Think I heard you on the radio yesterday. A few people were chatting about how it was all very quiet at hutchies and around the cape. We were at curtain and tangalooma as my deckie was a little green after the trip accross and we didn't get much. Ended up with five barely legal flatties from just north of the wrecks on some light gear.

I had the same idea too of getting some top feeders on lures out the 24's from the seaway, trolled for ages and nuthin, the sounder was showing fish on the bottom so we dropped a few pillies and I got one snappa but a nice one at 600mm also my PB, lost anouther about the same size, the wind and chop picking up sent us back in,

Was the bait/fish schooled up on the normal ledges Wayne? Just not feeding?

I have had poor days right on the full moon a couple of times, but others it has fired. The days either side of the moon normally crank though!

Hi Myles,
No bait at all it was lifeless out there, not sure where the fish are hiding. We went further south past the danger beacon as well saw some nice looking structure but no fish, No have not got the boat yet going to wait for the new year.
Are you on leave now?
