    ewen maddock dam

    hey guys just recently got into bass fishing and i have found a dam near where i live and i was just wondering is it work fishing from the shore? or is it very difficult
    i have more chance of fishing from the bank then i do from a boat/kayak so im hoping to give it a go any advice?

    Lots of weeds there so a canoe or kayak is the way to go.

    No motors of any sort allowed due to the cabomba weed that's rife in the dam as they don't want it chopped up.

    Make certain there's no bits of weed on any of your gear.

    If you're going to try from the bank, I'd try along the dam wall using spinnerbaits as they're relatively snag proof.

    caught a few land based where the rock wall ends, up near the water treatment plant. slow rolling tt switch blades in 1/4 weight and green and gold colour!

    thanks mate i have a switchy in orange and white but its a 1/8th you think that will make much difference? and any actiion on surface early morning?
