Trip to Cap Bunker group

Hi All,
Does anyone have any ideas about parking at 1770, if i want to leave my car and trailer for about 4-5 nights while out at the reef? Is the carpark at the boat ramp secure enough for this time, or should i try to find something else?

Just had spotlights nicked from leaving my truck at Port of Brisbane overnight for one night while at Moreton, so any ideas would be appreciated.

I have never had any trouble at 1770, but have recently heard of a bit of gear going missing out of boats that were parked up.

We were there 3 weeks ago for 2 nights on the reef and my mate had the handle on the trailer hitch lifted and mentioned that he had his wheel nuts loosened one other time.

Its probably as safe or safer than most other boat ramps around but it would pay just to lock down what you can and have a good look around everything before you leave.

Hope you can get 5 days/ nights of good weather, the best has been about 1-2 of late unless you own the Queen Mary!.

You could leave your boat & trailer at the boat storage yard on the way into Angnes (next to Mitre 10 hardware store) ph - 49747047.
The only problem is getting back to your boat at 1770 5-6 km walk!
