Went to hinze dam on Tuesday morning with my mate Brad Clark who makes one of the best rods in Australia Barra-Bass Rods, anyway we headed out about 7.00am from the western arm and headed towards the dam wall fishing edges and landing over 30 Bass a lot of small ones but some goods ones around 40cm to the fork not bad for about 5hrs fishing. Then i went back Wednesday afternoon with my brother and fished the same banks for the same results we caught most of the fish on blades great dam.

Great Effort!!!! Been meaning to give Hinze a go of late but figured the fishing would be crap after all the rain, a conversation I had with Ian Galloway last week set me straight as he's been getting plenty as well as some Toga, your post has got me itchin!!!!!

Did you use the old temp ramp or is the new ramp open again after it was trashed??? I've tried Blades before for limited sucess but only targeting deep schooling fish, if it's not a trade secret can you fill me in on which blade / weight you were using? Cheers, Jamie.

The temporary boat ramp on the western i don't think the new one is open. We were using 1/2oz and 3/8 evergreen little max blades any colour also tn60 jackals and 1/2oz spinner baits.

Good effort. good to see hinze is staring to fire up. might have to clean out the boat and give it a go.

Fished the western arm for a few hours yesterday evening, didn't get any bass but dropped my first saratoga.
