PB GC Jack!

Went out last night, northish end of the gold coast armed with a heap of live mullet. The first bait got taken in about 15mins before the tide bottomed out and took off away from the structure, guessn it may have been a trevor.. the second bait went out dead and again was a mullet this a fairly large one, it didnt sit for long and a strange stop start run proceeded to unfold. I actually thought it was a bream playing with it so it clicked over the baitrunner into lock just as the fish decided to take off.. the bloody thing near reefed the rod out of my hands and after a short but furious fight and jack glided into view.. it was a bit of a shock as it was a big one. it then decided to do most of its fighting in open water but to no avail.

now if someone can help in telling me how to upload the pic (i have it on my computer) i will post a pic of a genuine 60cm estuary JACK.

Yeah cheers guys just couldnt believe i managed to extract him, as wayno can atest its a fairly brutal affair to get em out before they brick ya.. and yes wayno... spot X mate... let me know when you want to try spot Y for some XOS trevors

Just checked Wayno... the tides are spot on for 5 to 6 for spot Y if the rain holds off and the bait is there it will be ON!!

got a tip off on a new spot, spot Z. Im doing some recon up there this arvo and will report back with the verdict.. other than that i went up the wall last night, hooked into something on the larger side, fought him for about 2 min all the while losing string to him then he spat it.....then i spat it....lol.
