    Is this a Stessl?

Can anyone tell me anything about this craft? Aluminium, 5.8 in length, has a Stessl sticker on it but I can't find a maker's plate. Bloke who has it called it a Waverunner but I can find no information on that.
Any ideas? I do like the hull but would like to know a bit more about it. Tried an earlier post on this but received no reply. Please, if you can, help.

Got a transom shot, what is the build year?

There is a similiarity there to some of their earlier hulls but nothing like the laterday models. Have you tried contacting the factory http://www.stessl.com.au

The transom is fitted with an outboard pod, I don't have a shot as yet. I'll have to get some more snaps. I haven't been able to find any plate on the hull which leads me to assume that the pad may have been added well after the hull was built and may have been placed over a plate. I'll try contacting the factory. Thanks.

My first impressions from that pic was a Savage hull, could well be a stessl though.

    'Day Jack,

I'm only guessing Stessl as that's the only sticker the hull has on it. I've now messaged the factory so will see what they have to say. Should be able to let me know if it is, indeed, a Stessl craft.

I tend to agree with tunaticer. Very similar to a savage hull shape

Spray chine is alot heavier than my 5.3 lancer, the enlarged rear end of the chine on this one looks like the heavy chine on many of the stessls.
I'm wondering whether it has had adifferent 'top' put on it?
I like the fine entry bow, and the 'lid' looks very practical.
Does it have a motor on it mozzie?
    Cheers.

    G'day,

this had a 200 on it that was buggered. It's now going to get either a Yami 200, or a Merc of the same size depending on which is the more sound It has an outboard pod on the transom and I'm beginning to wonder if this craft has been custom-built. Just can't find anything like it. Came into the boatie's yard as a consignment job and I was onto it like a shot, soon as I saw it.
Has an enclosed cabin, two bunks and a flushing dunny. The transom runs straight across, no 'step' in it at all. She's going to become my reef boat. Nice size and a fair bit of protection if it cuts up rough. The 'lid' is practical, and going to become home for a number of additions.
    Cheers,
    Mozzie
