    kite fishing

Trying to find info on anyone kitefishing in Queensland. I still have two kites I used in Tassie, need to check the regs in QLD. We managed to have kitefishing legalised in tassie fishing regs. It's a top way to catch a feed.the two ways I fish are.
    1/ 1000m mainline with 1m trace cliped x 20 hooks.
2/ small pocket kite seprate rod & reel to take out your surf gear.

If you were trying to get 1 or 2 hooks out there I dont think you would have any problems...... but 20?

Where are you planning on selling all of this fish?

I can see two problems with kite fishing in Queensland. The predominent breezes are Northeaster, and Southeaster. Is'nt it difficult to get a kite offshore with the breeze in your face?

The maximum number of hooks on a line allowed in Qld is 6

Hi Onerabbit There Was No Suggestion Of Using 20 Hooks (tassie Reg Only), I Don't Care Weather I Use One Hook I'am Just Asking The Question Of Use. Also For You To Suggest That I Am Planning On Selling The Fish Is Rude And Unjustified As I Catch And Release Most Of My Fish. I'am A Fly And Lure Fisherman Mostly, Kite Fishing Is Just Another Form Of Fishing. Coola

Of course you never suggested fishing this way ,

Even in Tassie where you say you managed to get it approved.....this is still a method of fish harvesting, not fishing.

In these days of conservation and leaving fish for future generations, I think talking about fishing with 20 hooks will always leave you standing alone in the spotlight....no matter where you did it.......... it's still a commercial method.
