Reversing camera cable
Just upgraded from the camper to a caravan. It comes with a reversing camera with a about 25mm 4 pin plug & a coiled connection to the car. Having trouble sourcing a cable fom the rear of the car to the monitor. Need monitor also. Most kits don't have this size plug just a itty bitty thing that one misplaced rock will destroy. Any suggestions would be appreciated but I do not live in a city & all has to be done by mail or internet

All I could suggest is give evil bay a go as you can get nearly everything there.

Re: Reversing camera cable
Just set a camera up on my van. Got power for the camera from the number plate light. Made my own cable to run the vidio from the camrea to the monitor. Buy some blank male and female "RCA" plugs from some where like jaycar and then use 75 ohm tv cable for the lead. Very simple to make up with no interference. So when I want to use the camera on the van I put the monitor on av2 and turn on the park lights, I also have av1 on the monitor wired to my reverse switch for ease of hooking the van up.
cheers

Re: Reversing camera cable
Gday Blaze and freefish
just been thinking I will have to go the reverse camera way, since I put the ARB fridge in the back of the GQ with the draws under it I can no longer see the boat trailer rear roller to line it up when reversing under the boat on the beach
also one on the rear of the van would be nice too
so what evilbay camera will give me the range to see 5m behind the 4b clearly, not just what is directly behind? a bonus would be to line up the tow ball when hitching as I am useless at getting that right
got the 5'' GPS on the dash for an imput
thanks for the info
cheers Murf
